Anastasia Gubareva was born in Moscow in 1982 and studied at the Folkwang Academy in Essen. While still a student, she appeared at Schauspiel Essen in the productions Fucking Amal and The Playboy of the Western World. Anastasia Gubareva became an ensemble member at the Theater Bonn in 2009, where she appeared in The Cherry Orchard, Der zerbrochene Krug, Hamlet and Die Ratten, among others. In 2011 Anastasia Gubareva won the Young Artist Encouragement Award from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. From the 2013/14 till 2021/22 season, and again from the 2025/26 season, Anastasia Gubareva has been a member of the ensemble at the Gorki Theatre, where she has worked with the directors Yael Ronen, Hakan Savaş Mican, Sebastian Nübling and Oliver Frljić. She can be seen in plays such as Sebastian Nübling's production of Sibylle Berg's UND SICHER IST MIT MIR DIE WELT VERSCHWUNDEN, which was chosen by Theater heute as play of the year for 2021, or SLIPPERY SLOPE directed by Yael Ronen, which was invited to the 59th Theatertreffen in 2022 and DIE NACHT VON LISSABON, directed by Hakan Savaş Mican. Since the 2025/26 season, she has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theater and appears on stage in Hakan Savaş Mican's play BERLIN KARL-MARX-PLATZ and Lena Brasch's production EAST SIDE STORY – A GERMAN JEWSICAL.
