Tim Freudensprung, born in 1994, studied acting at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Before he worked as a tennis coach and played theatre in the independent scene in and around Munich. During his studies he worked with Hermann Schmit Rahmer on the production of Elfriede Jelinek's sportstück which won the ensemble prize at the Acting School Meeting. During his studies, Tim Freudensprung also worked as a speaker for RBB and Deutschlandfunkkultur. He gained additional theatre experience at the Deutsches Theater in der Box in Hier Kein Sex directed by Franziska Wenning and in Schamparadies at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam and the Theaterdiscounter directed by Fabian Gerhardt. Freudensprung also works as a director, for example at the Neue Bühne Bruck. Since the 2020/21 season, Tim Freudensprung is a permanent member of the ensemble at Gorki.
