GROUND CONTROL

Szenische Installation von Mirko Borscht & Ensemble nach »Die Diktatur der Konzerne« von Thilo Bode

Who governs us and how? According to activist and author Thilo Bode’s analyses, we shouldn’t put our hopes in the self-regulation of free markets, in politics or people as rational beings. What is to be done? This immersive performance grapples with Bode’s findings and poses the question of what it could mean to be a person, when we forget social, political and ecological illusions and self-deception and face the world as it could be and perhaps will be.
GROUND CONTROL is an installation of the facts with sometimes desperate proposed solutions, which turns into an entertaining, bizarrely exaggerated and questionably resolute projection of the future with classic theatrical means. It ends in an atmospheric concert of reflection and contemplation, a patient standstill in the middle of a world without humans.
