Emre Aksızoğlu (*1988) studied acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and at the Actors Temple in London. He was already appearing in his first productions at the Schauspiel Essen during his studies. After that he appeared in Wut at the Schauspiel Bern in 2011. From 2011 to 2013 he was part of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, where he worked with directors such as Falk Richter, Daniel Cremer and Klaus Figge. Various appearances as a guest performer have taken him to Schauspiel Köln, the Theater am Neumarkt Zürich and the Maxim Gorki Theatre. Emre has been part of the Gorki ensemble since the 2019/2020 season, where he has worked with several directors including Oliver Frljić, Falk Richter, Hakan Savaş Mican, Yael Ronen and Christian Weise and can be seen in plays such as VERRÜCKTES BLUT directed by Nurkan Erpulat, which was invited to the Theatertreffen in 2011. His other productions include IN MY ROOM directed by Falk Richter, which was selected by the 45. Mülheimer Theatertage festival as play of the year in 2020.
