Surf durch undefiniertes Gelände

The Internationale queere Dramatik anthology collects theatre texts that dare to create new narratives of gender and identity. The selection of plays attempts to present a cross section of the growing body of contemporary texts for the stage that find alternatives beyond the heterosexual norm, making non-binary realities visible and offering insight into the status quo of contemporary drama that can be collected under the »queer« label: an informative excerpt from the canon of significant stories for a future that accepts differences without discrimination.  

In advance of its release by the Neofelis publisher in September 2021, Drama Panorama: Forum für Übersetzung e. V. in cooperation with Queer Week at the Maxim Gorki Theatre presents a panel discussion, in which Aidan Riebensahm talks with Jayrôme C. Robinet, Marine Bachelot Nguyen and Lisa Wegener about how queer stories find their way into language and what happens during the transfer into another language: What temporality are they subject to? What roles do (/could) authors*, directors*, actors* play?


Die Veranstaltung entsteht als Kooperation zwischen Drama Panorama: Forum für Übersetzung und Theater e. V. und dem Maxim Gorki Theater im Rahmen von PUGS IN LOVE – Queer Week 2021. Sie wird aus Mitteln der Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa sowie dem Projektfonds Neustart Kultur des Deutschen Übersetzerfonds gefördert.
