Catherine Stoyan

Catherine Stoyan was born in Großenhain near Dresden in 1959, studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and was employed at the Berliner Ensemble from 1990 to 1999, acting in productions staged by directors including Heiner Müller, Fritz Marquart and Werner Schroeter. Since 1999 she's worked as a freelance actress at venues including the Schaubühne Berlin, Staatstheater Stuttgart and Schauspielhaus Hannover. She regularly performs in productions directed by Christian Weise. She also works in film and on radio play productions, and narrates the audio book series Lilliane Susewind, among others.
