Pierburg – Ihr Kampf ist unser Kampf

Edith Marcello and David Wittenberg, as well as the workers themselves, filmed the events which took place at Alfred Pierburg AG in Neuss in August 1973, when workers protested wage discrimination for a week. Of almost 3,800 employees, about 70% were guest workers and the majority of those were women. The film was made in close consultation with the strikers and was produced as PR for the workforce and the works council.
