HRANT DİNK [GE]DENKEN

Ein Abend aus Anlass des 17. Todestages von Hrant Dİnk

On 19 January 2007, Armenian journalist Hrant Dink was murdered in Istanbul. As editor-in-chief of the Agos newspaper, he made the perpetrators’ responsibility for the Armenian Genocide an ongoing subject of discussion and was committed to reconciliation between the Armenian and Turkish populations. Now, after 16 years, his murderer Ogün Samast has been released from prison early »for good behaviour«. In all of that time, no complete investigation of his murder, and the involvement of government agencies, has taken place. In remembrance, Can Dündar, former editor in chief of Cumhuriyet, reads a selection of Hrant Dink’s texts, together with Saro Emirze and Sesede Terziyan with musical accompaniment by Merve Akyıldız.
