Between 1964 and 1969, almost 200 young women from Turkey lived in a women’s hostel belonging to Telefunken, a technology company, at Stresemannstraße 30. The sociopolitical and artistic actions of many of these women had an outsized impact on German-Turkish life in Berlin. The documentary exhibition, which was created as part of the 7th Berliner Herbstsalon ЯE:IMAGINE: THE RED HOUSE, will continue at the Kiosk, with added artworks by Emine Sevgi Özdamar, Filiz Taşkın, Melek Konukman-Tulgan and Serpil Yeter.
A project by Shermin Langhoff and Theater findet Stadt e. V. in cooperation with Hülya Karcı, Erden Kosova, Tunçay Kulaoğlu, Maral Müdok, Mürtüz Yolcu and many other involved protagonists. An epilogue to the 7th Berliner Herbstsalon.
