Željko Marović - born in Senta, Serbia, in 1985. At the age of 19 he moved to Germany and took a German language class to prepare to study linguistics. During the class he performed with the youth theatres in Duisburg und Münster. From 2007 – 2011 he studied acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. During his studies he performed at the Schauspiel Essen and received the ensemble and audience prizes at the Schauspielschultreffen festival for acting schools, as well as the Kurt Hackenberg prize for political theatre after he completed his studies. From 2011 – 2014 he was a member of the ensemble at the Stadttheater Konstanz. In 2015 he moved to Berlin to work as a freelance actor. He can be seen at the Maxim Gorki Theatre Berlin, Staatstheater Cottbus, Grenzlandtheater Aachen and in film and television productions, including the Bad Banks and Spezialisten series. He has also been a member of the »Theater Fragile« mask theatre company since 2016. He appears in VERRÜCKTES BLUT at the Maxim Gorki Theatre.
