Sarah Marée was born and raised in Berlin. She studied theatre and film studies at the Free University of Berlin and dramaturgy at the University of Music and Theatre Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig. In addition to internships with Claudia Bauer and Pınar Karabulut, she assisted Clemens Bechtel and the dance company Cooperativa Maura Morales and worked as a dramaturge with Ayat Najafi and Omer Krieger, among others. She has been assistant dramaturge at the Maxim Gorki Theater since 2025.
