Mathis Reinhardt grew up in Bavaria. From 2003 to 2007, he studied acting at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. During his training, he already appeared at the Landestheater Salzburg and the Salzburger Festspiele. His first permanent engagement took him to the Deutsches Theater Berlin (2007–2009), where he made his debut in Michael Thalheimer’s acclaimed production of Die Ratten. This was followed by stints at Schauspiel Frankfurt (2009–2013), Schauspiel Leipzig (2013–2016), and Staatsschauspiel Dresden (2016–2017). Since 2017, Mathis Reinhardt has been working as a freelance actor at venues including the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Volksbühne Berlin, and Staatsschauspiel Dresden. He has collaborated with Claudia Bauer, Andreas Kriegenburg, Stefan Pucher, Jorinde Dröse, Barry Kosky, Nurkan Erpulat, Pinar Karabulut, Philipp Preuss, and Christoph Mehler, among others.
Mathis Reinhardt also works as a voice actor and in film and television. In 2017, he played the lead role in the feature film Ein Weg, which was invited to the Berlinale. Mathis Reinhardt is currently filming a series for Disney+/ZDF.
KASSANDRA is already his second collaboration with director Marta Górnicka.
