Lidy Mouw is a Dutch artist based in Berlin and Brandenburg. She studied dance at AHK Amsterdam. Her work explores the applied philosophy of the moving and thinking body in all its diversity, focusing on the impact of movement and performance within socio-political contexts. Central to her approach are participatory processes, radical acceptance, and the creation of spaces for collaboration and community. In addition to her artistic, choreographic, conceptual, and dramaturgical work collaborating with e.g. HKW, fabrik Potsdam, HAU Berlin, and tanzhaus nrw, she is engaged in applying her methodology of authentic artistic conduct – working as a project manager, facilitator, mentor, and supervisor. She also serves on various advisory and jury panels and leads mixed-ability projects such as th∈∀t∈rl∀bor h∀tschisi at RZ/Potsdam. Her work is supported by a range of institutions including Aktion Mensch, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunsten, Berliner Festspiele, Berlin Senate, the British Council, Stiftung Mercator and Theodor Fliedner Stiftung.
