Hengameh Yaghoobifarah

Hengameh Yaghoobifarah was born in 1991 and lives in Berlin. Yaghoobifarah studied Media Cultural Studies and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Freiburg and in Linköping. Today Yaghoobifarah works as an author and editor on queerness, feminism, anti-racism, pop culture and media aesthetics and writes for taz, »an.schläge« and »Missy Magazine«, among others.
Together with Fatma Aydemir, Yaghoobifarah published the essay collection Eure Heimat ist unser Albtraum in 2019. In 2021, Yaghoobifarah's debut novel Ministerium der Träume was published.
Since 2020, Yaghoobifarah has also produced the podcast Auf eine Tüte with guests who change weekly. As part of Queer Week 2021, a special edition of the podcast will be produced in the yurt of the Gorki.
