Marlene Blumert

Marlene Blumert is a film director (University of Film Babelsberg Konrad Wolf). Since 2003 she has worked as a video artist for theater and opera productions, as well as a theater director. In 2021 Blumert had the artistic direction, directed and developed the concept and text for the theater project Are you flirting with me? Prinzessinnengärten 2021.
As a video artist, she works at the Gorki, DT, HAU, Volksbühne, and Frankfurt Opera, among others. There she works with Christian Weise, Sebastian Hartmann, René Pollesch, Tilmann Köhler, Christiane Rösinger, Jürgen Kuttner and Tom Kühnel.
She also realizes film and theater projects with children and young people at schools. Blumert's own films have been shown at various film festivals and have won awards.
