Jonas Dassler

Jonas Dassler was born in Remscheid in 1996 and began his acting training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts at the age of 18. He can be seen alongside Franz Rogowski, Maresi Riegener and Angela Winkler in films like Uns geht es gut (We're Doing Fine) and Lomo - The language of many others, which was nominated for Best Film at the Studio Hamburg awards for young filmmakers in 2017. In 2016 Dassler portrayed Ehrenfried May in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's film Werk ohne Autor (Work without Author). In 2017 he was part of the main cast in Lars Kraume's film Das schweigende Klassenzimmer (The Silent Classroom), adapted from Dietrich Garstka's book of the same name, based on a true story. In addition to Iris Berben, Moritz Bleibtreu and Peter Kurth, Dassler also appeared in Die Protokollantin (The Transcriber), Nina Grosse's series for ZDF. Also he played the lead in Fatih Akin's Der Goldene Handschuh, which was part of the compition of the Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival in 2019. In 2020, he has been selected as Germany's Shooting Star at the Berlinale. Dassler has been a member of the Gorki ensemble from the 2017/18 season to the 2020/21 season and again from the 2025/26 season. Currently he can been seen in PLANET B directed by Yael Ronen, in IN MY ROOM by Falk Richter, the collectively developed play CIAO and EIN BERICHT FÜR EINE AKADEMIE directed by Oliver Frljić. In the 2025/26 season, he will appear on stage in Marco Damghani's DIE ALLERLETZTEN.
