Everyone goes through transitions in their lives. Transitions lead from truth to lies, from community to separation, from dependence to freedom and silence to communication. They accompany people from pain to healing and from loneliness to security. Whether as a collective or individually, they prepare you for what is to come. As boundary markers transitions fluidly connect that which is reluctant to fit together and interweave the unimaginable with the unspeakable.
The Golden Gorkis, whose lives have made them specialists in transitions, are more than familiar with them. Their latest theatrical project deals with the diverse range of individual as well as collective transitions in their lives. A game with political, natural, imaginary, real, sudden, obvious, shocking, eerily beautiful transitions. A game without remorse, a game of life, a kind of playing that does not fear the final departure, a departure to eternity.
