Lesen für die Ukraine

The day of the great war that should never have come, now it is here. The people of Ukraine at the mercy of Russian aggression have our sympathy and support. In Russia, citizens harassed by repression watch in despair as a crime is committed in their name against their closest neighbours. In Belarus, they see Ukraine being invaded from their territory.
We are looking for words in war. Words that will help us to come out of this abyss. Words of truth that we share with our friends and colleagues in Eastern Europe.
This afternoon we will hear literary voices from Ukraine, but also from Russia and Belarus, read in German translation by Berlin authors.
