Forum – Public Talks about Politics

#HERȘEYGÜZELOLACAK

What made the Gezi Uprising so engaging was the fact that it assembled groups and political parties that were previously impossible to bring together. Moreover, the people who came to the park spoke to each other and interacted in solidarity. After the eviction of Gezi Park, the grassroot spirit resumed in the form of neighborhood fora spreading throughout Turkey. Some of these collectives are still active in one form or another. Commemorating the experience of radical democracy a decade ago, the forum meetings at Gorki will respond to the heated agenda following the coming elections in Turkey.
