Talk I #DİRENAYOL

The struggle of LGBTQIA+ activists first became broadly visible in 1987 with the hunger strike on the stairs of Gezi Park to protest against the state's policies of denial, torture, oppression and persecution. Queers, the objects of hate of the society, were either not recognized in the society or used in news content as an object around the traditional hate policies of the state. Today, even in many opposition organizations, our movement is either not recognized or is confined to a limited area of solidarity with conditional presuppositions. This is why it is a limitedly known area of struggle even in the opposition.
