Stella Hilb was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1986 and spent her part of her childhood in Bologna, Italy. She studied at the Film University Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 2006-2010, and then appeared at the German-language theatre in Bolzano in a production of Nathan der Weise (Nathan the Wise, directed by Monica Steil). She worked at Halle's new theatre from 2012-2015/16. There she appeared in various productions including Maria Stuart (director: Matthias Brenner), Effi Briest (director: Alice Asper), Die Weber (The Weavers, director: Jo Fabian), Wir sind keine Barbaren (We're not Barbarians, director: Ronald Jakubaschk), and Mephisto (director: Jo Fabian). In 2013 she received the theatre's advancement award for acting. She is closely associated with director Nora Abdel-Maksoud (Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Kings, 2014) (Halle, Mad Madams, 2015). Future works are in production. She began working as a freelance actress in Berlin in July 2016, appearing regularly in film and television alongside her work in the theatre.
