Marilena Büld

Marilena Büld, born in Cologne in 1992, studied stage and costume design at the Weissensee Academy of Art in Berlin. She graduated with a degree at the master’s level in 2020.
Since 2017, she has worked as a freelance stage and costume designer with directors such as Nele Stuhler, Murat Dikenci, Jan Koslowski, Florian Fischer, Janne Nora Kummer and the Belgian director Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, and at theatres including the Volkstheater München, Schauspielhaus Graz, Schauspiel Bochum, Schauspiel Köln, Theater Dortmund, Schauspiel Hannover and Volksbühne Berlin. In addition to her work in the theatre, she has also worked as a set and costume designer for films and, together with director Mirjam Khera, shot my own kind, which was nominated for the German Short Film Award. She is also a co-founder of the Multisex artist collective.
