Juri Wasenmüller (they/them) writes journalistic, academic, and literary texts. Juri studied political science in Berlin and Bogotá, as well as sociocultural studies in Frankfurt (Oder) and St. Petersburg. Juri has worked for taz, among others, was a columnist for Missy Magazine, and has published essays and literary texts in anthologies and magazines. In these works, Juri questions narratives of post-Soviet migration to Germany from a perspective critical of racism and classism, as well as from a queer and decolonial perspective. Juri is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Graduate College Aesthetic Practice at the University of Hildesheim and lives in Berlin.
