Julia Radewald, born in northern Germany in 1991, studied fashion design at the JAK Academy in Hamburg. After graduating in 2015, she ran the sustainable fashion label Kluntje for five years together with two fellow students. In 2023, Julia began working in film. Among other things, she designed the costumes for the ARD mini-series For the Drama and for the feature film Draußen brennt's, which was nominated for the Max Öphüls Prize in 2024. Since 2024, she has been working full-time at the Maxim Gorki Theatre. As a costume assistant, she co-developed the costumes for the productions Karabakh Memory and East Side Story - a German Jewsical and in 2025 she designed the costumes for the Golden Gorkis for her play Dalli Dalli Dalli Dalli oder kein Komma, kein Punkt. at the Maxim Gorki Theatre. In 2026, she designed costumes for Dido & Aeneas / Erwartung for the Theater Bremen.
