Jil Dreyer

Lara Jil Dreyer (no pronouns/she) is a German performance artist and theatre pedagogue. Jil studied Theatre and Political Science at the FU Berlin and completed her Master's degree in Applied Theatre Studies at the JLU in Gießen in 2021. Jil is particularly interested in topics that revolve around intimacy, solidarity and intersectional queer feminism, which are important to Jil in her artistic as well as her pedagogical and political work. In 2011, Jil directed various children's and youth theatre groups for Schauspiel Hannover, Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam and Ricarda-Huch-Schule in Gießen, among others. In June 2018, Jil developed the 10-hour performance Hellmouth Edition for the Porsgrunn International Theatre Festival in a residency together with the collective »Scene:Bluss«. Since 2017, Jil has been developing off- and online performances and plays with Josef Mehling as FEELINGS. Here Jil conceives, writes, plays, speaks, dances and creates together with Josef and others. The collective has presented works at the Staatstheater Mainz, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (with Mora Vegesture) and Gessnerallee Zurich (with Yunus Ersoy), among others. Jil lives in Berlin.
