Born in Yerevan, Armenia (1998), Hayk studied stage and set design at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography (2016–2020). Since 2024, they’ve been based in Germany, pursuing a Master’s in Spatial Strategies at Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel.
Their practice in theater includes collaborations across various forms—such as dramatic theater, puppet and object theater, and documentary theater—consistently engaging with personal and political themes.
In their solo work, Hayk explores gender, sexuality, and cultural identity through a queer-feminist lens. Their installations—both site-specific and multimedia—create space for personal narratives and invite viewers to reflect on their own.
