Cristian Ceresoli

Cristian Ceresoli won six major awards with his real first writing La Merda (2012) including the Fringe First Award 2012 for Writing Excellence (first Italian ever), the Arches Award 2012 for Emerging Art, a nomination for Total Theatre Award for Innovation and Premio della Critica as Best Show. La Merda is published by Oberon Books (London) and it has been translated into English, Danish, Brazilian Portuguese and Czech. It is currently being translated into French and German. After three consecutive year of a sellout tour in Italy, in the 2014 euro tour La Merda is presented in the West End of London, Glasgow, Copenhagen and Berlin among the others. On commission by The Arena di Verona, Cristian Ceresoli wrote Othellosexmachine (2013) an opera libretto. From 2013 in collaboration of the occupiers of Teatro Valle in Rome, he runs a Writing Production Machine called Rabbia (Rage), a multi-production of new writings of Teatro Valle Occupato.
