Almut Lustig

Almut Lustig, born in Hildesheim, studied classical percussion at the University of Music, Theatre and Media in Hannover.

She has worked with various orchestras, e.g. DSO Berlin and NDR Hanover, and as an interpreter of contemporary music with, among others, Karlheinz Stockhausen.

As a musician for the theatre, she has collaborated on numerous productions at Hanover's state theatre, the Berliner Ensemble, as well as Berlin's Schaubühne and Hebbel Theatre. Lustig has worked with the Argentinian choreographer Constanza Macras and her ensemble dorkypark since 2005, and she accompanies them as a musician and composer at theatre and dance festivals around the world. Almut Lustig is a lecturer for classical percussion at the HMTM.

GET DEUTSCH OR DIE TRYIN' is her first production at the Maxim Gorki Theatre.
