Bak, İyİ dİnle – Look, Listen Carefully

Three former guest workers, Hatice Alkan, Hatice Hanım Şen and Mefharet Sayınbatur, remember their first years in Germany between 1961 and 1973, the working conditions and the impact of living abroad. Özlem Sarıyıldız’s work, which has mainly been shown in museum contexts so far, captures both the humour and nonchalance of these impressive women, as well as their thoughtful nuances and eloquent silences.
