100 Jahre Widerstand

collektive temporaire

It's good that humans cannot just give up on resistance. Irrespective of the specific political situation, the ability and will to subvert, deny, disobey, protest and rebel is probably among the most enduring in their nature. “Where there is power, there is resistance”, philosopher Michel Foucault stated in 1983. But how, in the coming neo-liberal regimes, can acts of resistance occur, much less rebellions in attitude? Philosophy searched long and hard, and then realized that it's not about looking for post-modern mechanisms of resistance, but rather “creating” them. To date, philosophy, just like the theatre, too rarely “creates” effective resistance against social imbalances, global injustices, against exclusion and racism. But at least the theatre may dream of resistance, tell of it and even celebrate it. And so, in word and sound in the Gorki canteen, the collektive temporaire tells and celebrates the tale(s) of an always necessary resistance.
