Born in Palestine, Lamis is based in Berlin and is the star of the critically acclaimed Sand Storm by Elite Zexer, which won the Grand Jury Prize in World Cinema at Sundance in 2016, amongst other recognized festival wins and nominations. Lamis has just landed one of the leads of Rupert Wyatt's next film Desert Warrior opposite Anthony Mackie and Ben Kingsley.
Lamis works as an actress in several theatres around Germany. She appeared in Third Generation – Next Generation in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons at Maxim Gorki Theater (Berlin). She played the main role in Vögel during the 2021/22 season at Theater Lübeck (Lübeck). She performed Dat Leven vun de Liven in Plattdeutsch in 2022 (in collaboration with Lichthof Theater and Ohnsorg) at Ohnsorg Theater (Hamburg) / Lichthof Theater. In 2024 she appeared in Ohne Tee kann man nicht kämpfen at Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach. Additionally, she had a premiere at Volksbühne Berlin in 2024 with the solo piece performed in German Mein bedrohliches Gedicht.
