Gwendolyn Jenkins

Gwendolyn Jenkins was born in Heidelberg in 1977. She studied costume design at the HAW Hamburg and graduated in 2005. Since then she has worked as a costume designer for theatre and opera, at municipal and state theatres and for the independent scene.
She has been working regularly with the directors Gian Manuel Rau (Schmürz, Comédie de Genève and on tour), Beate Baron (Die Fledermaus, Theater Freiburg), Julie Beauvais (Alcina, Sion) and Charlotte Pfeifer (PMS Lounge, Übel & Gefährlich and on tour). 
Gwendolyn Jenkins has also worked with Antù Romero Nunes (Eine Familie), Barbara Weber (Der Richter und sein Henker), Yannis Houvardas (Woyzeck), Philip Jenkins, Corinna von Rad, Anna Frey and Andreas Bode. Her work has taken her to Thalia Theater, Theater Basel, Theater Neumarkt, Kampnagel, the Munich Biennale, Theater Graz, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Comédie Française and others.
At the Maxim Gorki Theatre she designed the costumes for Schwarzer Block by Kevin Rittberger, directed by Sebastian Nübling.
