Avo Kaprealian

Avo Kaprealian, born in 1986 in Aleppo (Syria), studied dramaturgy and theatre studies at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus. Since then, he has been working as a freelance theatre director, photographer and cameraman. After his experimental debut Just two steps too (2012), Houses without doors is now his first feature-length documentary. The film was presented in 2016's forum programme at the Berlinale film festival.
