Four authors traveled to cities in the eastern part of Ukraine, bringing together high school students and Ukrainian soldiers to speak about their feelings and fears, about their anger and hopes against each other – in an quite unusual protected environment. Director Georg Genoux, who was awarded the Grand Prix Generation 14plus at the 2017 Berlinale for his new documentary Shkola No. 3, will present the collection of texts in a staged reading. How can we speak about a war which has become a part of everyday life in Ukraine and which we know so little about in Germany?
The Ukrainian texts will be read by Eren Gündar, Çağla Zeynep Gürkan, Ezana Hajredini and Cem Kir
After the performances there will be a public talk presented by Elena Sinanina on 20/April and Daniel Schulz on 21/April.
