Marco Fusinato

Marco Fusinato is a contemporary artist and noise musician whose work takes the form of installation, photographic reproduction, performance, and audio recordings. As an artist, he conceives his work as a succession of interrelated projects, some of which continue across numerous iterations. Within these projects, the works are almost always serial and use specific frameworks for experimentation. As a musician, he explores the idea of noise as music, using electric guitar and mass amplification to improvise intricate, wide-ranging, and physically affecting frequencies. Marco Fusinato was selected to represent Australia at the Venice Biennale (2022) in which he presented DESASTRES, a two hundred-day performance as installation. His work has also been presented in many other significant exhibitions, including the La Biennale di Venezia (2015), Sao Paulo Biennale (2012), Biennale of Sydney (2018), and MoMA’s first ever sound art exhibition (2013). Fusinato performs regularly in experimental music festivals including Berlin Atonal (2023), Rewire Den Haag (2024), and Unsound Krakow (2024), primarily as a solo artist, and has released many recordings on vinyl.
