Diamin
Diamin is a DJ, record collector and environmental scientist, born in Chile and based in Berlin. She cut her teeth in Buenos Aires, where she co-founded the collective Family Affair in 2014, built around conscious listening, musical research and DJing mostly with vinyl. Her records come from Latin American archives as well as the most suburban warehouses of Europe, and she treats music as something organic and communal, a kind of worldbuilding in real time. On the dancefloor that means wide-ranging vinyl sets that pull together hardcore techno, trance, Chicago house and acid. She has played at Berghain, Bassiani, Tresor, De School, Rex, C12 and RSO. Boiler Room, NTS Radio and Crack Magazine have all featured her. She is resident at Mutant Radio in Tbilisi and Lacura in La Plata; she also works with queer collectives such as Maricas in Barcelona and PLU in Bristol. Alongside her own sets she co-directs the vinyl label Tecnologías Elementales.
