Tim Seyfi

Tim Seyfi was born in Turkey in 1971. He studied acting at Cours Florent in Paris. In 1995 he acted in Rainer W. Fassbinder’s play Katzelmacher, followed by roles in numerous stage productions, both independent and at city theatres, in Germany, Italy, France, Turkey and Poland. In addition to shows with his improv theatre group Fastfood Theater, Seyfi has appeared in many film and television productions, including the award-winning film Gegen die Wand directed by Fatih Akın (European Film Award & Golden Bear at 2004 Berlinale), Fay Grim by Hal Hartley and Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot by Marcus H. Rosenmüller.
In 2001 he won the award for best actor at the Badalona Film Festival in Spain for his performance in the Swiss film The Cookie Thief. He was in the leading role in Murat Şeker’s 2 Süper Film Birden, which he also co-produced. He also appeared in Anno Saul’s Die Tür (2009), in the French film Geronimo from award-winning director Tony Gatlif (2014 Cannes Film Festival Official Selection), and in Die Känguru-Chroniken (2020) directed by Dani Levy. Currently he’s appearing in the Israeli-French series The Spy and the Turkish series Atiye -The Gift, both on Netflix.
