Melanie Jame Wolf

Melanie Jame Wolf was born in Launceston, Australia and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2011. She is a visual artist and choreographer working with text, performance, video and installation. Her own theatrical works: Mira Fuchs (2015), HIGHNESS (2017), and TONIGHT (2019) all premiered at Sophiensaele. Her screen and gallery works have been shown widely around the world at spaces including: Arts House, n.G.b.K., Schwulesmuseum, Arts Santa Monica, Institute of Modern Art Brisbane, The Substation, VAEFF Film Festival NYC, Münchener Kammerspiele and HAU Hebbel am Ufer. In addition to her own works, she has performed for artists including: Benny Claessens, Colin Self, and Damian Rebgetz. Melanie Jame Wolf is a 2020/21 artist in residence in the International Studio Program at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, supported by the Australia Council for the Arts. In the 2020/2021 season at Gorki, she is collaborating with Ersan Mondtag, appearing in his production It's going to get worse.
