Hila Meckier

Hila Meckier was born in 1981 in Haifa, Israel and studied in Tel-Aviv joining the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio. She joined the Dimona Culture Lab ensemble - A theater laboratory researching multidisciplinary art forms. She played in many of Israel's top theaters, starring in the Haifa Theater version of Erri De Luca's Montedido. She created, directed and choreographed performances e.g. for the Acco international fringe festival. She took part in several TV shows, was nominated for best actress and won the title at several prestigious festivals in Israel. Hila is leading a physical theater ensemble in Berlin, where she also created performances. As a member of the Political Voice Institute, she was part of the intervention Community: An App For One Person at Gorki Kiosk. In 2021 Meckier is starring in Górnickas production Still Life: The Chorus for Animals, People and all other Lives.
