Malaya Stern Takeda studied at the HfS Ernst Busch from 2017 to 2021 and performed at Schaubühne, Volksbühne and Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, among others, during her studies. With her solo performance Richard III. (2021, directed by Aram Tafreshian), she developed a feminist reading of Shakespeare's drama. She has been part of the Nationaltheater Mannheim ensemble since 2021. In 2022, she also got her start in front of the camera: She starred in Nachts im Paradies (director: M. Glasner), the ZDF series Conti (director: C. Garde) and took on the lead role in the Amazon series Love Addicts. In Parallel Me (2025) she plays eight roles. She is a co-founder of Stabiler Rücken e.V., a network for BIPoC artists, and will be showing her directorial debut T-Boy on Grindr again at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in June 2025.
