SAHMAN GRENZE-KUŞ

SAHMAN-GRENZE-KUŞ

Choreographer and dancer Jasmin İhraç’s solo Sahman-Grenze-Kuş is a danced confrontation with experiences of Ani, a city of ruins on the Turkish-Armenian border. The work presents an approach to the complexity of the place and illuminates aspects of borders, tracks, traditions and the transmission of memory. Through the interplay of different layers of presence, as well as the combination of live performance and video footage, a dialogue is created between different media, temporalities and spaces.

With the support of Kunststiftung NRW and Goethe Institute.
